How this tier list works
This Deadlock hero tier list ranks every hero from real match results: 373,620 matches since the 10-14-2026 patch, ranked and unranked. The rank buttons switch to ranked matches only, grouped by the average rank of both teams, because a hero that is strong in Eternus lobbies can be a trap in Initiate ones.
Each Deadlock win rate here is the share of games the hero's team won. Win rate does most of the work (85% of the score); pick rate adds the rest, capped so that a brand-new hero everyone is trying cannot ride hype into S tier. Small samples are pulled toward 50% first. The result is a Deadlock character tier list that moves with the patch instead of with one player's opinion.

Graves, with a 57.6% win rate over 151,252 games since the 10-14-2026 patch. The rest of S tier across all ranks: Rat King, Paige, Seven, Kelvin, Victor, Haze and Ivy. Higher up the ladder, in Phantom to Eternus games, S tier is Wraith, Rat King, Graves, Celeste, Paige, Kelvin, Ivy and Vyper.
How is this tier list made?
From match results, not opinions. For each hero we take the win rate since the 10-14-2026 patch, pull it toward 50% by 300 games so a hero with a few hundred games cannot jump past one with tens of thousands, and add a small bonus for pick rate (15% of the score). Heroes are then placed by how far they sit from the average: S, A, B, C or D. Heroes with fewer than 400 games in a rank bracket are left unranked. Details on the about page.
How often is the tier list updated?
Every day. The match window starts at the most recent balance patch from Valve, so each patch gets a fresh list. The current list covers Oct 15, 2026 to Oct 19, 2026. Patch details are on the Deadlock patch notes page.
Why are the tiers different at each rank?
Heroes reward different skills. Celeste is S tier in Phantom to Eternus games but C tier in Initiate to Acolyte games. Rank brackets use ranked matches only, grouped by the average rank of both teams. Use the rank buttons above the list to see yours.
Is Violet good?
Violet is B tier across all ranks right now, with a 49.4% win rate over 193,635 games. New heroes usually start lower while players learn them. See the Violet build for items and counters.
